Township Committee Chair (TCC)
Objective:
The purpose of Township Committee Chairs is Investment in the Growth and Expansion of the Marion County Democratic Party. Starting at a grassroots level the MCDP must work to expand our base and better connect with all corners of our diverse and vibrant city. Township Committee Chairs are an integral part of this process as they will manage and coordinate Precinct Committeepersons within their township.
Duties:
Year-round

Meet Monthly (as needed) as a group
The township committee should establish a monthly meeting to ensure party objectives are met. Create a township report to share with the chair noting significant data points.

Pertinent Township updates

Fundraising opportunities

Manage Precincts within the Township

Divide Precincts into turf amongst members of the Township Committee. Recruit new members to the party and make recommendations to fill PC vacancies

Check-in with PCs within your turf

Check-in with PC to ensure PCs are walking/calling thru their precincts at least once every 2 months.

Collect data from PCs (what are the concerns within the precinct? What resources does PC need from the party? etc.)

Help to raise money for the party

Fundraise for the party as feasible

Engage in all GOTV efforts

Recruit democratic volunteers

Assist PCs with PC duties

Pickup and distribute E-Day materials to PCs

Train PCs on election day literature passing

Watcher duties
